China is and remains the world’s leading investor in low-carbon energy technology, according to a global study published by the US Pew Environment Group, having in 2009 overtaken the USA as the nation with the most installed clean energy capacity. At least 200,000 people took to the streets around Germany yesterday, Saturday to protest against nuclear power. One of the organisers Ausgestrahlt claimed that 250,000 people took part in demonstrations in four major cities marching under the banner ‘Fukushima Means: No More Nuclear Power Stations.’
