An angry New York cyclist has taken umbrage at being a $50 fine – for cycling outside a cycling lane. Casey Neistat, just happened to be a film maker and was carrying a camera at the time of the alleged offence and began filming the police officer in his patrol whilst he was being given the ticket.

Jeff Fager, Chairman of CBS News has strongly endorsed the news program, 60 Minutes, which on 22nd May aired a programme which made allegations of doping abuse against Lance Armstrong. Prior to the show he had issued Armstrong with an invitation to appear. In the aftermath of lawyers’ letters from the Armstrong camp, Fager has gone on the offensive saying that there will be no on-air apology to Armstrong, and that the report had been “truthful, accurate and fair”.

L’Affaire Contador will not go away for the time being. Alberto Contador will be allowed to line up to attempt to win his fourth Tour de France in five years next month after it was announced that the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) said its ruling over a positive test for a banned anabolic agent would be delayed until August 1-3 to give both sides more time to prepare.
