“Owning a Kindle just got even better. Today, we’re introducing a new Prime benefit built for Kindle: The Kindle Owners’ Lending Library,” said Jeff Bezos, Amazon.com Founder and CEO in a statement yesterday. “Prime Members now have exclusive access to a huge library of books to read on any Kindle device at no additional cost and with no due dates.” The creation of a Kindle library had been reported to be on the cards in early September.

The boundaries of performance art have been well and truly pushed to a new level by 36-year-old performance artist Marni Kotak who gave birth to a 9 pound 2 ounce baby boy, Ajax in a home birthing centre set up in the Microscope Gallery, in Brooklyn, New York. The birth took place at 10:17am on Tuesday. The “artwork” entitled “The Birth of Baby X” was acted out in front of around 20 people though the Gallery did not confirm the precise number.
